TO MAKE AND CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT
For a routine appointment, please call or book with us at reception. Each appointment is booked in 10 minute intervals. If you feel you would like more time, please ask for a double appointment. We run extended clinics until 8pm every weekday. You will be given a confirmation of your appointment, either by text message (if you have signed up to our messaging service) or with an appointment card.
Cancelling / Rearranging Appointments
If you know that you are unable to make an appointment, or wish to rebook another appointment, please call the practice as soon as possible and our team will be able to assist you.
The Yiewsley Family Practice operates a combined “Pre-Booked” and “Book on the Day” appointment service. This type of appointment system allows the Practice to minimise wasted appointments from patients who do not attend their booked appointments, yet also allowing better and easier access for patients who have more acute symptoms and need to be seen promptly. “Book on the Day” appointments are made available online and via telephone at the same times every day, 08:00 a.m. and 01:00 p.m.

Arriving for your Appointment
When you arrive at the practice, we have automatic patient systems to help you check in.
You simply need to press the touchscreen, and follow the instructions. If you are unsure, or the touchscreen is not working please go to reception and they can check you in.
Your clinician will be informed you have arrived. They will call you for your appointment from the relevant waiting room.
It is important that you make it to your appointment on time however we appreciate from time to time; you can be late for your appointment. If you know you are going to be late please let us know. We allow a 10 minute buffer for late arrivals. If you are less than 10 minutes late, the clinical will be able to see you. If you arrive after this buffer, the receptionist will have to communicate with your clinician to see if they can fit you in. This will depend on the time of day and how busy the clinic is. If they can’t, the receptionist will book another appointment for you.
We offer home visits for those who are house bound or unable to visit the surgery in person.
If you require a blood test, please do not book an appointment with a nurse. Blood Tests are performed by the phlebotomist in the phlebotomy clinics, which can only be booked by telephone. To book a blood test, please call 01895 435377. Hillingdon Hospital also runs a daily blood clinic from 7.30am to 4pm Mom - Fri, and you do not require an appointment. You will need to collect a blood test form from our surgery, and take it with you.
